I hope students and interested people will use this space to discuss and learn about biological evolution.

As a background, evolution is not Darwin's idea. It's a very old idea predating Darwin. Darwin's ideas about the evolution of species in general can be summarized briefly into five theories.

We can discuss them in detail if someone is interested. Please take note that I am not a biologist myself. I have read quite a few of the popularization books about evolution and know only a fraction about it so we can learn about this together. Nonetheless, I can share what I learned so far and I hopefully can learn from others in this forum as well.
