BDSM GALORE: CHURCH EASTER PROGRAM DEPICTS WHIPPING EASTER BUNNIES: SANTA CLAUS NEXT ON THE LIST
From time to time, our theist brethrens have cried foul over the violence that has been pandered by Hollywood and other secular shows. They claim that such movies are an “affront” to their conservative values and morals.
Having said that, their moral aversions are not restricted to religious movies and other shows that harbour a religious overtone. The Passion Of The Christ, for example, had enough BDSM scenes to ensure that a seasoned BDSM practitioner would be able to relate to, if not achieve orgasms several times over.
Imagine, then, the application of Godly violence in a rather “innocent”, Christian skid, that of whipping cutesy, Easter bunnies and breaking Easter eggs (And along with it, the hearts of little boys and girls) at Glassport Assembly of God , just to show that Jesus is a festive spoiling deity, if not a BDSM fan.
Easter Bunny whipped at church show; some families upset

A church trying to teach about the crucifixion of Jesus performed an Easter show with actors whipping the Easter bunny and breaking eggs, upsetting several parents and young children.
People who attended Saturday’s performance at Glassport’s memorial stadium quoted performers as saying, “There is no Easter bunny,†and described the show as being a demonstration of how Jesus was crucified.
Melissa Salzmann, who took her 4-year-old son J.T., said the program was inappropriate for young children. “He was crying and asking me why the bunny was being whipped,†Salzmann said.
Patty Bickerton, the youth minister at Glassport Assembly of God, said the performance wasn’t meant to be offensive. Bickerton portrayed the Easter rabbit and said she tried to act with a tone of irreverence.
“The program was for all ages, not just the kids. We wanted to convey that Easter is not just about the Easter Bunny, it is about Jesus Christ,†Bickerton said. Performers broke eggs meant for an Easter egg hunt and also portrayed a drunken man and a self-mutilating woman, said Jennifer Norelli-Burke, another parent who saw the show in Glassport, southeast of Pittsburgh.
“It was very disturbing,†Norelli-Burke said. “I could not believe what I saw. It wasn’t anything I was expecting.â€
Hmm……
I wonder what has bitten Christian fundies these days. They seem to have the knack of exerting their influence on just about any issue they deem “ungodly”. From the war on Christmas to the war on secular education, these lunatics have now resorted to torturing Easter bunnies to get their points across.
According to Patty Bickerson, the “youth” Minister, the show wasn’t meant to be offensive. How non-offensive can you get when you have a show for kids that features:
- whipping childrens’ favourite festive characters;
- Wanton destruction of property (Easter Eggs);
- scenes depicting a drunken sod and a self-mutiliating woman?
I really feel sorry for the kids, who must have been traumatized by such a degrading show. Visitng churches on a regular basis is torrid enough, but to be forced to watch an entire skid filled with tasteless, mindless, religiously-slanted violence sure does no good to the minds of the little ones.
I wonder what our theist friends will have in store for the next coming Easter, or Christmas, for the matter. Kids frolicking around with perverted Priests? Santa Claus crucified on the Cross?
Very disturbing indeed.
