Unwelcomed Christians
In the Pinoy Atheists forum that has been invaded by Christians, one can see mostly theistic nothingisms now rather than the usual atheism stuffs. Why can’t Pinoy Christians leave the atheists be in the only active forum for Filipino atheists? Haven’t they got enough make-believe already from other lists that they feel they have to invade whatever space is left for the Pinoy non-believers? They now freely talk about their “god” and their beliefs in a forum that’s supposed to be about atheism by and for non-believers! No wonder the Pinoy atheists are nowhere to be found nowadays. I wish the moderators will do something about it before it’s too late.Â
In the previous PA list where I had been a moderator, one of my regular post was about reminding the theist visitors to move all kinds of religious bullshits outside the Pinoy atheists forum. And move stupid debates about the existence of gods elsewhere too. Debates about gods go nowhere; debates cannot make their superhero exist magically if they “win” their argument, which they don’t. So why waste time and effort? But I guess that is not what being a true Christian should be, letting us heathens go Satan’s way without them trying to save us by proclaiming the good news? Well, the only good news there can ever be for atheists, is when they start to make sense. Until then, these Christians should just leave.

i dont mind having christians around. we have christians around outside of the forum anyway. but it is a little odd that an atheist forum would have threads talking about love and god etc.

I also don’t mind, if they don’t abuse their stay. In the last and the current PA, although there was really no rules laid out, I only reminded them about posting and debating and it seemed to work. But now it seems, odd, as you put it so mildly, that yes it’s an atheism forum by and for the Pinoy atheists but why do the religious bullshits keep pouring in unabated? We intended to build a space where atheists can come together and speak their mind but seeing the kind of garbage now pervading the list, one can only wonder what kind of atheists we are, letting Christians run the show talking about “loving god” without anybody even bothering refuting it as if it should be the normal fare. Honestly, it’s what’s keeping me away from the new PA recently. I thought it’s just a passing fad just like before when we have occassional visitors. But it has dragged on for so long now. Who knows what other atheists have been turned off already with what they could find in there. The usual reasons why atheists join the list is their joy in finding a forum that they can truly call their own. Whatever space we created is being invaded by preaching Christians. If we don’t do anything abut it, then we might as well don’t care about the community.

Let them “share” what they needed to share. It’s doesn’t really matter what they have to say, because they are all repeating the same thing over and over. And even if you debate with them, it will all end up like: We existed, God created us. Therefore, God exist and I win!
(!) Warning! Offesive statement ahead! If you hate them, close your eyes and don’t read.
To make things short, debating with them is definitely useless, senseless and a total waste of time.

Fundies can be a sorry lot. They’ll infiltrate any nook and cranny - hell, they’ll even attempt to force entry into anyone’s butt crack as an act of ‘divine mission’ to proselytize inconspicuously “every living soul in the four corners of the world… hellelua!”

They enter atheists or infidels sites just like your site because it’s their God given duty to win souls for their Heavenly King.
Remember that these “fundies” were trained to infiltrate, and to gather every souls that they can get. By entering any group that…well according to them, “leads the “sheeps” to go astray”, they believe that within let say 10 members atleast to get one individual to listen to them and to somehow “be converted” is a sign of heavenly victory. The problem lies when unsuspecting atheist have fallen to the Christian trap. If you give them the “soap box”, you already gave him the whole center stage all he has to do is to get the microphone and start teaching and preaching. In some cases, especially the “biblical apologetic variety”, if you fall in the “let us reason together” show and began to debate him about his Holy Book, then you already started the ball rolling.

Its time for atheists to be united and kick out those damn fundies from PA.
I am sick and tired of hearing their silly diatribes, and when we tell them to stop, they simply won’t. Alright, then, let’s just hurl abuse at them and make them leave.
